Reversal of lifetime alimony will shape divorce awards
In a highly anticipated opinion that will shape how money is allocated in divorce cases across the state, the Tennessee Supreme Court overturned the awarding of $15,000 a year in alimony — until death or remarriage — to a Sumner County woman earning $72,000 a year.
